Slender-bodied smooth-scaled.Glossy grey, brown or black above, usually with 10-20 narrow while or yellow bands; the bands most distinct on forebody and either faint or absent on hind body. Whitish or yellowish collar usually in the neck. Upper lip white or spotted with brown. Generally confused with the Common krait.
